Good cookie, but I don't think I'd call it great. It's probably a great after school snack like Dorie describes in the preword, but I don't have a need for that. When I want a cookie, I want a chocolate chip or oatmeal cookie, ya know?
Maybe a little bit of spice would oomph it up a little more - although that could have been a result of the granola I chose?
I don't think I'll experiment with these either - it just calls for too many things that I don't regularly keep stocked in the pantry.

I hope you're having a good vacation. I had made these before and almost skipped out, but I decided to try them again. The granola I chose really made a difference in the flavor. Sorry they weren't a big success for you. They do look great, though.
Sorry they were not to your liking. We added some spices.
You know, a little spice in these is a great idea.
I felt exactly the same way, good cookie but not great. I wish I had added some cinnamon, that might have helped.

Sorry you didn't love them. Maybe, try them again with chocolate. That's what I did, and they are a new favorite.
